Alexander Muss High School in Israel, a signature program of Jewish National Fund (JNF) and known as HSI or AMHSI, delivers a transformative experience for teens through its semester, mini-mester and summer abroad programs in Israel. Unlike any other experience, we are the only pluralist, non-denominational, fully accredited international study abroad program in Israel for high school students – one in which the land of Israel becomes a living classroom. Students spend part of the academic school year or summer in Israel during the sophomore, junior or senior year of high school on an academic adventure, earning high school and college credits. Students enjoy a college-prep environment, living on our Hod HaSharon campus while exploring over 4,000 years of fascinating history, experiencing the land, culture and people of Israel. AMHSI students return home with a heightened level of maturity and responsibility, along with strong bonds to new friends and a deeper connection to the State of Israel that lasts a lifetime.
AHMHSI seeks a dynamic professional interested in leading and directing the recruitment for AMHSI. The primary purpose of this position is to manage all of the recruitment activities and meet recruitment goals of the program. This position is an Exempt position and will be supervised by the Chief Israel Advocacy and Leadership Officer.
•Meet all enrollment goals
•Travel on behalf of the program for recruitment to small communities
•Manage the AMHSI recruitment team (Israel Program Admission Directors & Directors of Admissions)
•Speak publicly to individuals, teachers and parents groups
•Develop and maintain close working relationships with key day schools and public schools
•Assist in the development and maintenance of the recruitment and marketing plan with the purpose of promoting the school’s visibility and general recruitment efforts.
•Co-supervise and co-manage the recruiters in the field with the Executive Director, Israel Advocacy and Education and utilize support staff of the department as needed
•Develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies
•Attend conventions, meetings and conferences as necessary to maintain knowledge of existing and new admissions and recruiting policies, practices and procedures.
•Assist with selection of students who might be eligible for Impact Funds
•Other duties as assigned
•A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 plus years related experience. Plus demonstrated knowledge, competence and significant experience in education administration, communications, business,sales, marketing or related field desirable.
•Previous supervisory experience in managing professional staff is preferred.
•Should possess high energy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively, self-driven and motivated, quick learner, approachable with energy and enthusiasm for teen Israel experiences
•Able to deliver the message of AMHSI at speaking engagements to different demographics in a professional and approachable manner
•Understanding social media and its ability to be used as a recruitment tool
•Expertise in facilitating organizational development and change; competency for analyzing recruitment-related data and assessing programming activities as part of a strategic enrollment planning initiative
•Experience with Microsoft Office, internet research, Google Docs and CRM systems and ability to setup and use technology for presentation
•Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think outside the box
•Occasional travel within the US, Israel and some evening and weekend work are required
•Excellent follow-through on projects, and the ability to multi-task
•Ability to work effectively with individuals as well as groups, must be a team player
•AMHSI alum is preferred or prior travel experience in Israel
•Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive or confidential information.
