JNF has launched the $1 Billion Roadmap for the Next Decade (, a ground-breaking and unprecedented plan for Israel's future that focuses on connecting the next generation to Israel, building communities in Israel's Negev and Galilee, and developing infrastructure for ecology, working with people with disabilities, heritage preservation, and aliyah from North America.

JNF seeks to recruit an experienced Fundraiser who will be based out of San Diego. This position will be responsible for fundraising duties throughout San Diego, CA.

Job Responsibilities will include:

•Face-to-face meetings for solicitation, cultivation and recognition of donors, both new and prospective
•Developing and identifying major gift prospects
•Engaging the San Diego community by developing a strategic approach to involving donors in our work and growing the campaign in this area.
•Board and/or Committee development, cultivation and membership
•Mission recruitment
•Event Planning

Job Qualifications:

•A passion for Israel.
•The Director should have at least 5 years of relative experience in sales/fundraising
•Knowledge of and familiarity with the Jewish Community in the San Diego area
•Strong understanding of donor research, identification, cultivation and solicitation
•Proven success in asking for and closing gifts and building and maintaining relationships with donors
•Ability to work nights and weekends as needed, depending on scheduled JNF events
•Excellent writing and speaking skills
