Director, Pacific Northwest

We see a bright, beautiful future for Israel and the Jewish people. But we cannot succeed in bringing our vision to life without you. Jewish National Fund is seeking a full-time, professional position for a Director to be based in Seattle, Washington.

You will be charged with developing relationships with prospective and current donors to raise money for Jewish National Fund’s National Campaign to support projects and programs for Israel. The main expectation for accomplishing this is through solicitations and board development. You will be responsible for fundraising throughout the Pacific Northwest, including: Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii. Your main goal is fundraising for the National Campaign.  

Responsibilities:

• Face-to-face meetings for solicitation, cultivation and recognition of donors, both new and prospective
• Identifying, developing, and closing major gift prospects  
• Board/Committee development, cultivation, leadership, and management
• Israel Mission recruitment
• Possible travel to other Regions and Israel
• National and Regional Event recruitment
Necessities:
•    A passion for Israel.
•    Complete knowledge of the various Pacific Northwest Communities.
•    Bachelor's degree.
•    2+ years fundraising or similar sales experience.
•    Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
•    Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
•    Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
•    A team-orientation and strong work ethic.

You have your fingers on the pulse of the various communities in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii are up-to-date on current trends and the latest news with an eye on what’s next.

Your interpersonal communication skills are off the charts. Networking is second nature to you and you are able to not only lead an engaging conversation, but are also able to lay the foundation and nurture relationships with various people.
