David M. Schizer is in his ninth year of service as the dean of Columbia Law School, making him the School’s longest serving dean in four decades. When appointed in 2004, David was the youngest dean in the School’s 150-year history (he was 35-years old at the time). David’s research focuses on tax and budgetary issues, as well as on business law and law and economics. Before joining Columbia Law, David clerked for US Appeals Court Judge Alex Kozinski and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and also served in the tax department at Davis Polk & Wardwell.
