About the Honorees:
Orna and David Delrahim were born in the small town of Shiraz, Iran.
David moved to the United States in 1979 to pursue his American dream. He graduated from USC with a degree in engineering and soon after started his first business in retail petroleum.
Orna escaped Iran in 1984 with her younger brother. After arriving in the U.S. she attended a Yeshiva in Baltimore before eventually making her way down to Los Angeles. She helped with the family business, working in the Jewelery District in Downtown LA.
The two met at a mutual friends wedding in 1986 and were married one year later on August 23, 1987. They have both always shared the belief that they have a responsibility to their community, heritage, and to the State of Israel.
They have two children, Shannon and Ashkan. They have taught their children to live by two phrases, Tzedakah and Tikun Olam.
Proceeds benefit JNF’s partnership with The OR Movement. Together, JNF and The OR Movement are dedicated to populating and developing the Negev and Galilee regions of Israel.
