Honoree: Rabbi Mordy Rudolph
Jewish National Fund
Rabbi Mordy Rudolph and his wife Rivkee established The Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh in September of 2006. Under their leadership, FC has grown to include approximately 350 active participants and an alumni base of over 100 young adults. The Friendship Circle has impacted the entire Jewish community and beyond, playing an instrumental role in making our Jewish community more accepting for people of all abilities. In 2007-2008, Mordy served on the Propel Pittsburgh task force, a city commission aimed towards making Pittsburgh a more enticing place for young adults to live. In 2012, Rabbi Mordy and Rivkee were awarded the Agency for Jewish Learning's Special Needs Distinguished Service Award for The Friendship Circle. As Jewish professionals, they understand the importance of the State of Israel, and brought their then three-year-old son Chaim there in the summer of 2011.
