Art Contest Details:

2013 Theme: Trees and Israel!
Winners will be announced at the Tu BiShvat Family Celebration. All artwork will be displayed at event.
Contest open to students Kindergarten – 5th grade
Competition has three divisions:
K – 1st grade
2nd – 3rd grade
4th – 5th grade
Deadline January 15, 2013

Digital Media Contest Details:

JNF, Your Voice in Israel
Create a homemade 30 second video about what JNF means to Israel! Use the included JNF facts to help you along the way.

Submissions will be judged by a panel of JNF volunteers and the winning video will be showcased at the JNF Tu BiShvat Family Celebration.
The contest is open to students in 6th to 8th grade.

Grand Prize: One Year Membership to the Chicago Botanic Garden

Rules and Regulations:

All entries must be submitted via YouTube by January 15, 2013.
• Entries should reflect the theme “JNF, Your Voice in Israel.”
• Videos must not exceed 30 seconds, including credits.
• All entries must be the original work of the student submitting the video.
• Only non-professional original videos produced by students in grades 6-8 will be accepted.
• All videos must be suitable for a family audience.
• Any music or images used must be original, or, if copyrighted, each student is responsible for obtaining written permission for music or images used.
• All fields on the submission form must be completed in order for entries to be accepted. (Only one entry per student).
• Videos should be uploaded as “private” to YouTube, and a link to the video should be emailed to RSVPChicago@jnf.org.
• Any submissions that are not uploaded as “private” to YouTube will be disqualified.
• A winner will be selected by a jury of JNF volunteers and professionals.
• The winner will be announced at the Jewish National Fund Tu BiShvat Family Celebration Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Chicagoland Jewish High School.
• The winner will have their video screened at the JNF Tu BiShvat Family Celebration and on the JNF Chicago website for Tu BiShvat
Deadline January 15, 2013
Videos should be uploaded to YouTube as private, and a link to the video should be sent to RSVPChicago@jnf.org, along with the completed submission form.
