She is also a member of the Touro University Nevada Advisory Board, was Chair of the Bronx division of the New Jewish Home, and was a member of the Board of UJA Federation of New York. Bernice says, “I want to do my part in making Israel a strong nation and I know that JNF is the only organization that is both strategic and efficient in building our homeland. JNF is THE organization that can develop Israel’s resources to its highest and fullest potential. I’ve been fortunate to work with JNF’s dedicated leadership and I know that my time, energy and dollars are truly valued by these individuals.”

Originally from Tucson AZ, Janet Wellish moved to Las Vegas in 1994 with her husband Kent and their daughter Hanna. They soon became a family of 5 with the addition of Isaac and Eve. Janet is part of The Wellish Vision Institute team, operating as their special events planner. Midbar Kodesh Temple is her spiritual home, where she stays involved with the Youth Commission and helps coordinate events such as the Shabbat Retreat in Zion and a Scholar-in-Residence weekend. Janet has served on several boards including Federation's Women's Philanthropy, JCC of Southern Nevada and Midbar Kodesh Temple. Now, on the JNF Board, Janet feels it is up to us, as a caring community of Jews, to help support our Jewish homeland. She has an affinity for the JNF programs such as building water reservoirs and desalination efforts, developing the infrastructure for new communities in the Negev and Galilee, and programs that support R & D used for farming and agriculture around the world.
