Bud, Judy, and Max Levin

5:00 PM Cocktail Hour • 6:00 PM Dinner and Program

Bud and Judy Levin
Bud and Judy Levin have been deeply involved in the world of Jewish philanthropy from both the lay and professional perspective for many years. Bud, former CEO of Midwest Petroleum Company, began his career as a lay leader in St. Louis 45 years ago where he held several positions with different organizations including Chairman of the St. Louis Jewish Federation campaign and Lifetime National Vice Chairman of the UJA. Judy has worked for National UJA, Washington University, and Jewish Federation. In 1997, Bud and Judy established the J&B Levin Fundraising consulting firm and led the first joint Jewish Day School Campaign in the country, raising money for three Jewish day schools in St. Louis. In 2002, Bud and Judy joined the volunteer ranks of JNF and retired from their fundraising consulting company. Bud served as Vice President of Campaign and is the past President of the Los Angeles Board of Directors. They currently serve on the Los Angeles Board of Directors and are part of the World Chairman’s Council, Negev Society, and Sapphire Society. Bud and Judy have four children and nine grandchildren. Their youngest child, Max serves in an elite unit in the Paratroopers of the Israel Defense Forces.

Max Levin
Max Levin, son of Judy and Bud Levin of Los Angeles, made Aliyah to Israel in August 2012. In December 2012, he joined the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and was one of the few selected to become a member in an elite unit of the Special Forces of the Paratroopers. In July 2014, Max and his unit entered Gaza and fought in Operation Protective Edge. He was later wounded in that war, which required emergency surgery. Max grew up in St. Louis and moved to Los Angeles in 2007 to attend New Community Jewish High School, now referred to as deToledo High School. Max is currently a freshman at NYU.
