Join us for what promises to be a riveting panel discussion on the 50th Anniversary of Jerusalem’s Reunification

Moderator
Howard Rosenman
Film and Television Producer

One of the most prolific producers in film and television, Howard Rosenman is best known for the hilarious remake of Father of the Bride, Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, and The Family Man. His new mini-series, based on Ambassador Michael Oren’s book, Six Days of War will air on Skydance TV. During that war, he took a leave from medical school to serve as an extern medic for the IDF. There he met his mentor Leonard Bernstein who encouraged him to go into show business.

Panelist
Yoel Rosby
JNF-Ammunition Hill Liaison

Yoel Rosby is JNF’s Ammunition Hill Liaison, site of the pivotal 1967 battle that led to the reunification of Jerusalem, where he works to strengthen awareness of our history and connection to the land of Israel. After a short period in the finance world, he followed his family’s heritage in serving his nation, which he is continuing today working at Ammunition Hill.

Panelist
Larry Russ
Attorney

Award-winning trial attorney Larry Russ is a founding partner and co-head of the litigation department of Russ August & Kabat. The Russ family recognizes the significance of Ammunition Hill and generously supported the restoration of the battlefield and the City-Line exhibit, where visitors watch a video while a 3-D model of the city and its environs lights up to illustrate troop movements and battles.

Panelist
Phillip Yankofsky
Six Day War IDF Veteran

Phillip Yankofsky is the owner of Metropolitan Trust Deed Co. Following his high school graduation, while touring Israel with a friend, Palestinian guerillas kidnapped them and turned them over to the Syrian army. Luckily, they were released relatively unharmed, yet the experience impacted him profoundly. In 1967, Phillip volunteered in the Mahal (volunteer) unit of the IDF. Currently, he is the President of Etz Jacob Congregation, Vice President of Machal West, and is actively involved in the Los Angeles Jewish community.
