Gloria Moss has lived in Sarasota for 59 years, most of those years with the love of her life, Marty. A former Copacabana showgirl, Gloria revisited her roots by becoming a competitive ballroom dancer following Marty’s passing. Today, at age 92, she hasn’t slowed down a bit. Never hesitating to step forward when help is needed, Gloria is involved in more than 30 philanthropic organizations. She leads by example, and believes that every member of a community has a personal responsibility to give back.
After leaving his homeland of Germany, Ernest Kretzmer worked as a lab assistant at MIT and had a storied 35-year career at Bell Labs. The list of causes that are close to his heart is extensive, and he supported well over 60 different organizations with his late wife, Alisa. Ernie is always looking to make a difference. If he sees a problem or an opportunity, he does not hesitate to pursue it. Some of the Jewish organizations he supports include Jewish National Fund, AIPAC, Technion, Weitzman Institute, Ben Gurion University and Hebrew University.
