Janette and Thomas Carey
Thomas W. Carey is the founding partner of the Clearwater law firm of Carey Leisure & Neal. As a Board Certified Trial Lawyer, he has been recognized as one of America's Best Lawyers, Tampa Bay's Best Personal Injury Lawyer and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Following the tragic loss of his wife, Joni, to a drunk driver, Mr. Carey served as the State Chairman for Mothers Against Drunk Driving in 1986 as well as Pinellas County President. As a professor and author, Mr. Carey has taught Trial Practice at Stetson University College of Law and written Florida Personal Injury Practice Forms, and “A Conversation With Our Clients”
Mr. Carey has been an active member of the Pinellas community for 40 years, served on the Board of Morton Plant Hospital, the Pinellas/Pasco Boy Scouts of America, the Pinellas County Civil Service Board and the Board of Directors of the Pinellas County Center for Crime Victims.
Janette Bejlkova-Carey is a Co-Founder and President of Client Legal Funding and Co-Founder of CSC Enterprises. Prior to her business career, Janette was a professional tennis player for four years, participating on the world circuit until the age of twenty. At the University of South Florida she was the number one player on the team and was undefeated in the Big East (Division One).
