South Florida Tree of Life Dinner Kick-Off Event

The room was packed at the recent kick-off cocktail reception for the upcoming March JNF Tree of Life Award Dinner.  The reception, held at the Tower Club in Fort Lauderdale, was hosted by Ralph Campbell and McKinley Financial Services.

The South Florida Tree of Life Dinner will be held on MARCH 16, 2010 at the DCOTA in Dania Beach. All proceeds from the dinner will support Aleh Negev, a communal rehabilitative village in Israel’s Negev desert providing  groundbreaking innovative care for Israel’s children with disabilities.

The guest speaker at the reception, Yossi Kahana, Director of Aleh Negev, amazed the guests with the state of the art care that Aleh is providing for Israel’s children with special needs.  JNF will be honoring the children of Aleh Negev, General Doron Almog, one of the founders of the village. In addition, The Aleh Award will be given to Barbara Mautner for her generous support of this project and Michael Lazar, JNF South Palm Beach Board President,  will be presented with the JNF Lifetime Achievement Award for his unwavering support of Israel through JNF. Master of Ceremonies will be actor and comedian Paul Reiser.  In addition to co-creating and starring in the critically acclaimed NBC series, “Mad about You”, Mr. Reiser’s successes also include his book Couplehood,  which sold over two million copies and reached the number one spot on The New York Times bestseller list and Babyhood, which also made The New York Times bestseller list.

Dinner tickets are $640 per couple. For more information, please contact Debbie Regent, JNF campaign executive at 561-447-9733 or dregent@jnf.org.
