2012 Long Island Tree of Life Dinner

On Wednesday, October 17, 2012, JNF Long Island held its annual Tree of LifeTM Award Dinner. The evening’s master of ceremonies was Long Island Board member Jeffrey S. Schwartz. The event honored Ira R. Halpern, partner at Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone, LLP and Dr. Yacov Shamash, Vice President for Economic Development and Dean, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University. Proceeds from the event benefited JNF’s partnership with Friends of Israel Firefighters  by completing funds to provide a much-needed new fire truck to the Negev city of Mitzpe Ramon.
