Nanuet Hebrew Center

Nina Woldin, Senior Area Director, New Jersey, Westchester and Rockland, JNF's Israel Advocacy and Education, spoke to two seventh grade classes at Nanuet Hebrew School about water. They did an experiment to see if water was salty and then learned about the aquifers in the Negev. They ate olives and tomatoes, fruit grown in the Negev using the water from the aquifers. They filled out water worksheets and every student received a Blue Box to collect for JNF water projects in Israel for the next month. Discussions were also held with sixth and seventh graders where Nina spoke about Bnai Mitzvah projects and gave every student a Bnai Mitzvah Guide.
