Not only is Los Angeles geographically vast, but the Jewish community that makes its home there is a diverse one with as many perspectives, opinions, and focuses to match. JNF has built a board in LA that reaches out and touches each demographic, enabling local residents to become partners in bettering the lives of the people of Israel. Over the past few years, we have:

• Piloted a carbon offset program with Sinai Temple in which the synagogue planted trees in Israel to offset their congregational carbon footprint. That pilot led to JNF GoNeutral, a program aimed at educating individuals about their impact on the environment while empowering them to take steps to curb climate change.

• Started the Commercial Real Estate and Capital Group which raises funds through networking and educational events to fund the JNF Blueprint Negev effort.
• Spearheaded a campaign to raise money for the Livnim and Hatzeva Reservoirs, both crucial in helping Israel combat the severe water crisis it is facing.
• Started an exciting JNFuture group for the next generation of leaders.
