Chicago's Annual Tu BiShvat Family Celebration A Success

Jewish National Fund's Annual Tu BiShvat Family Celebration, which took place on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Chicagoland Jewish High School, proved to be a big hit this year! Over 1,200 members of the Chicagoland community came together to celebrate Tu BiShvat, the Jewish new year of the trees.

Families enjoyed crafts and activities from a variety of organizations, live performances and great food from local vendors! Participants had the opportunity to plant tree sapplings, create enviornmentally friendly pieces of art and meet Smokey the Bear and Blue Box Bob!
