From Be’er Sheva’s promenade to new communities in the Negev, from the Sderot Reservoir to Green Horizons Youth Programs, JNF New England Zone is leading the way to building a stronger Israel. With seven action areas and many partnerships and projects, this is the time to join our family. Like the 250 million trees we have planted and over 220 reservoirs we have built, the New England Zone has grown into a forest of opportunities. We have an active board of directors, committees, events and activities. You can get involved in many ways.

The New England Region is so proud to have initiated and spearheaded a variety of critical projects including:  

• The JNF Parsons Water Fund - a $100 million 10- year fund, used to develop water sources for the people of Israel and her neighbors. Recent Projects include the Shamir Drill which extracts 6.6 billion gallons of water each year, Rainwater Harvesting, which teaches children the value and importance of water conservation while simultaneously reducing the schools water consumption by 77%, and the Ramon Wetlands Project which will replace an outdated water treatment plant at the Ramon Air Force Base.
• Green Horizons Youth Movement - helps Israeli children from all walks of life and offers incredible opportunities, enabling individual growth by nurturing independence, responsibility, friendship and leadership. Over the past 37 years, Green Horizons has educated more than 20,000 Israelis in grades 5-12.
• Wall of Eternal Life- the JNF Memorialization Project provides an opportunity for people around the world to memorialize loved ones overlooking the hills of Jerusalem.

Additionally, we have proudly led many missions to Israel, bringing hundreds of first timers, old timers, non-Jews and Jews together to experience the beauty and wonder of our homeland. We proudly started the partnership with the Hazon/Arava Bike Ride, recruiting riders to join Team JNF and cycle for Peace and Environmental Protection. And we have raised funds for the Beersheva River Park Promenade, much needed security roads, parks and projects that are revitalizing the Negev Desert for the next generation of Israel’s residents. In addition, we recently dedicated the Sderot Reservoir in memory of the Nathan Parsons Z”L.

The New England Zone operates out of Boston, but is proud to have a very active board in the Capitol District Region, and has hosted events in Rhode Island and Hartford CT. We are eager to come to your community.
