Jewish National Fund to Host its First Annual Signature JNFuture Philadelphia Event: Margate Meets Tel Aviv

August 12, 2015—Philadelphia, PA—Jewish National Fund’s (JNF) young philanthropic division JNFuture, will host its first annual Margate Meets Tel Aviv, on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Lucy the Elephant in Margate City.

The evening event aims to create the atmosphere of Tel Aviv’s nightlife, with an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and dancing, including a special appearance from DJ Ohad, straight from Tel Aviv himself.

"This is going to be an amazing night,” said Alexander Hankin, JNFuture Philadelphia Board President. “It's a chance for Individuals from Philadelphia and South Jersey to come together for a fun, unique time at the shore, and to learn about the difference that JNF makes each day in the lives of the people of Israel."

JNFuture engages and energizes young leaders who are committed to sustainability and community development in Israel. JNFuture members support and connect to JNF's mission through speakers, special events and trips to Israel.

"JNFuture Philadelphia has become the fastest growing chapter of young Jewish leaders in the country,” said Kara Kimmel, Campaign Executive, Philadelphia. “Margate Meets Tel Aviv will be the first signature experience in this region, and the first of its kind at the Jersey Shore - a true showcase of this group’s drive and passion for Israel."

Margate Meets Tel Aviv is chaired by Danielle Hankin, JNFuture Philadelphia Board Member, and the event committee is made up of local JNFuture members Evan Benedon, Ricki Carroll, Liza Dabrow, Josh Fisher, Aliyah Furman, Sean Gold, Alexander Hankin, Chad Holtzman, Alexandra Joslin, Dana Lakner, Mark Lazaroff and Ari Stanger.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Arava Emergency & Rescue Center – a crucial JNF project. The medical center was created to bring the Central Arava’s health services and emergency care up to par with Israel’s large population centers, to provide medical services to a growing elderly population and prevent them from moving out of the region in search of adequate care, and to attract a new population to the Arava.

Margate Meets Tel Aviv will take place on August 29, 2015 at 8:30 p.m. at Lucy the Elephant, located at 9200 Atlantic Avenue in Margate City. Tickets are available online at jnf.org/jnfuturemargate. For more information, please contact Kara Kimmel at kkimmel@jnf.org or 2215.832.0690 x861.
