New York, NY (August 4, 2016)—Jewish National Fund (JNF) is bringing the beaches of Tel Aviv to the Jersey Shore! On Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 9:00pm, join JNFuture for an evening of networking, dancing, delicious bites, and drinks at the second annual Margate Meets Tel Aviv. For its encore year, Margate Meets Tel Aviv will once again be held at Lucy the Elephant (9200 Atlantic Avenue) in Margate City, NJ and feature DJ Ohad from Tel Aviv.
“I couldn't be more excited about JNFuture’s second Margate Meets Tel Aviv event,” says Event Co-chair Danielle Hankin. “It was unbelievable last year and we had over 150 young professionals join us to support Israel at JNFutue’s first major event in the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas. I know this year will be an even bigger and better success than last!”
"Margate Meets Tel Aviv is such a good time and so different from any other event out there,” says Alexander Hankin, Philadelphia’s JNFuture Board President. “It’s a chance to support and celebrate Israel while dancing under the stars with other young professionals from our community."
JNFuture is a community of young professionals and supporters of Jewish National Fund, ages 22–40, who share a commitment and passion for Israel. It engages and energizes its members through a variety of local social and educational programming. Since its founding in 2007, JNFuture has grown exponentially from one city to more than 15 across the U.S. and Israel. All JNFuture members have access to a vast network of like-minded peers, a variety of events from movie screenings and happy hours, exclusive speakers, VIP receptions with senior Israeli officials, and specialized trips to Israel.
Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Tickets start at $36 for JNFuture members and $45 for non-members. Transportation will be provided, with limited seating, from Philadelphia, PA and Cherry Hill, NJ to the event.
Margate Meets Tel Aviv is chaired by Matt Hernberg, Gaby Abramson, Danielle Levin, Alexander Hankin, Mark Lazaroff, Chad Holtzman, Josh Fisher, Aliyah Furman, Ari Stanger, Sean Gold, Danielle Hankin, Molli Weisband, Ricki Carroll, Alix Heald, Samuel Waltzer, and Dana Lakner.
Proceeds from Margate Meets Tel Aviv will benefit JNF’s vital work in Israel, which is varied in scope, but singular in benefit: striving to bring an enhanced quality of life to all of Israel’s residents and translate these advancements to the world beyond. JNF greens the desert with millions of trees, builds inclusive parks, creates new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolsters Israel’s water supply, helps to develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educates both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel.
