Quiche and Tell

On Sunday, January 23rd, 2011, Rena and Philip Kantor graciously hosted “Quiche & Tell,” a JNF Sapphire Society event to raise funds for the Red Mountain Therapeutic Riding Center in Kibbutz Grofit, Israel.  This event was chaired by Hadassa Lefkowitz.

Alyse is a lawyer, mother, and a passionate supporter of Jewish Communities here and abroad in Israel.  She currently sits on the Executive Cabinet State of Israel Bonds, the Executive Committee for JNF, is a member of the President’s Council for American Jewish Committee, and the Capitol Club for the American Israel Political Action Committee.  She attended the event to raise awareness and funds for the Red Mountain Therapeutic Riding Center.

Red Mountain Therapeutic Riding Center was established in 1996 by Ellen Reisel, Founder and Supervising Psychologist, in the Arava desert in southern Israel.  The goal of Red Mountain is to enable every child and adult residing in Southern Israel that is in need of therapeutic horseback riding to be enrolled in the center.  In the year 2000, this unique program brought special education classes to the center for weekly riding therapy sessions that incorporated riding therapy as part of the school curriculum.
