Bob has been a CPA for over forty years and is licensed by the US Department of the Treasury. Bob is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Bob has a general accounting and income tax practice here in Las Vegas.
Bob has taught income tax classes at USC as well as having given numerous lectures on accounting and taxation to other groups. He presently is the President of the Nevada Society of Enrolled Agents, Southern Chapter. He has previously been the Vice-President and Treasurer of this group as well.
Bob is currently the Board President of Jewish National Fund- Las Vegas Region. In this capacity he is serving as the Major Donors’ Campaign Chair. Bob is a member of the JNF National Board. Previously Bob was the co-chairman of the Israel Independence Day program for the Las Vegas Jewish Federation. He has, also, previously been the President of the Vista Del Mar Men’s Association in Southern California and, also, a Board of Directors member for American ORT. Bob’s special love is for Israel and he has been pleased to have traveled there at least twenty times with more to come.
Bob was a member of the Board of Directors of Young Israel Aish and was the Treasurer for the Shul for most of 2009. He has always been involved in Jewish causes, charities, and Synagogues. He speaks annually at the Jewish Friendship Club in Sun City, giving talks on Israel, Israel Independence Day, and Jewish National Fund. He makes regular appearances each Tu B’Shevat at the Day and Religious Schools.
Bob and his wife, Shelley, were married ten years ago right here in a Las Vegas Synagogue. He has a son, daughter-in-law, and two twin grandchildren (a girl and a boy) living in upstate New York. He, also, has two grandchildren through marriage (a boy and a girl) right here in Las Vegas. Through marriage he acquired two wonderful step children, a fantastic mother-in-law, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, and great cousins.

Makor (Hebrew for “source”) is a specially-trained cadre of highly-involved Jewish National Fund volunteers. Our primary role is to support the core functions of JNF by direct fundraising. Thus, we identify prospective donors, conduct direct solicitations in our own communities and around the United States and assist in educating the public about the JNF and its projects.
Makor also serves as a source for lay leadership. We are leaders in our own communities, and provide training and inspiration for other community leaders on solicitation techniques, board development and outreach and on the work of the JNF. Makor members also assume JNF leadership positions on a national level.
We are proud leaders who are committed to the mission of the JNF, the caretaker of the land of Israel forever. In addition, Makor is a source of innovation within the JNF. Our diverse backgrounds, coupled with our common commitment, foster a free-flow of ideas to keep JNF as relevant and productive as possible.
Makor members travel to Israel each year to study JNF projects and programs in depth, and bring their insights and experiences to you. Members speak at no charge.
