Northern New Jersey Board President, Jewish National Fund
Ben Gutmann became active in JNF after participating in a JNF mission in 2003 and seeing firsthand all of the good work done by JNF. Always interested in and passionate about Israel as he has many relatives living there, as a child, he heard stories about his family living in Jerusalem and other places throughout the country.
Ben’s involvement with JNF grew; he became a member of JNF’s Northern New Jersey Board and in 2009 became Board President. In 2010 Ben was invited to be a member of Makor.
Ben is owner and CEO of BassTech International, a worldwide distributor of raw materials including chemicals, plastics and synthetic rubbers. He travels extensively because of the international nature of his business and visits his offices in China, India and Europe.
Ben is married to Susan and they have two married sons who reside in New York City.
Because of Ben’s deep commitment to Israel, he and Susan recently donated a park through JNF dedicated to the children of Nofei Prat. The park was built in memory of Ben’s grandparents who perished during the Holocaust in Auschwitz in 1943.
