Central NJ Board
Marcy’s connection to Israel began in 1988, when she traveled there with her husband, Michael, and spent four weeks exploring the country. Her support of JNF and their work can be directly traced to her younger daughter, Sarah. When Marcy and Mike returned in 2005 to share the country with their daughters, Sarah insisted that they plant trees for JNF. Later that year when it came time to select invitations for Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah, the family turned to JNF. That decision cemented the family’s relationship with JNF and spurred Marcy and Mike’s involvement with JNF.
Raised on Long Island, Marcy attended Carnegie Mellon University where she studied architecture. Transferring to Baruch College, Marcy completed a BBA in Public Administration . During her career, she worked with The Health and Hospitals Corporation in NYC, 3M Health and Information Systems headquartered in Seattle, The Harris County Hospital District in Houston, and the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
As the Needle family continued to move around the country, Marcy began her involvement in her community. Marcy chaired many committees within her children’s schools in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, and Lincolnshire, Illinois. She was also asked to serve on the board of Illinois NF Inc., an organization dedicated to the support of individuals with Neurofibromatosis.
At the JNF level, Marcy joined the Women’s Alliance Committee in 2007 and most recently was asked to serve on the Central Area Board. Around the same time, Marcy was asked to join Makor, a group of lay leaders committed to the mission of JNF.
Marcy currently resides in Morristown, New Jersey with her husband, Michael and their two wonderful daughters, Rachel and Sarah.
