Born and raised in Israel, Shoula Romano Horing is an attorney, law professor, radio show host, opinion columnist and national public speaker that has lived in the United States since 1980. Her father, who was born in Damascus , Syria, and grew up in Lebanon, was a member of the Jewish Brigade of the British army, fighting the Nazis in Italy in World War II and helping Jewish refugees in Holland and Belgium after the war. In 1945 he joined the Irgun underground to liberate the Jewish state from the British. He was one of the first fighters who conquered Jaffa during The Israeli War of Independence against the invading Arab armies . Her mother, a Yemenite Jew , was born in Ethiopia and left to the land of Israel in 1935 when Mussolini conquered Ethiopia .
For the last 2 years Shoula has regularly published her political opinions online in Ynetnews, the most popular English language Israeli newspaper. These articles have covered topics such as The Arab spring, American politics, and the presidential elections. For the last 18 years, Ms. Horing has also written many articles concerning Israel and the Middle East, which have been published in USA Today, the Kansas City Star, the Jewish Press, the KC Jewish Chronicle and other Jewish Journals. For ten years, she has been the host of a weekly radio show called “Oh Jerusalem”, which airs on KCXL in Kansas City, Missouri. On the show she discusses the political and cultural issues concerning Israel and the Middle East. Ms. Horing grew up with KKL/JNF and knows it very well.
