Israeli Emissary to Jewish National Fund, New York and New Jersey
Talia Tzour came to Jewish National Fund as the
Israeli Emissary to New York and New Jersey after 15 years in the Jewish National
Fund-Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael (JNF-KKL) offices in Israel.
Born and raised in Jerusalem, Tali
spent her army years as a member of the Nachal Brigade and during the course of
her service helped found a new community in the Galil, one that still stands
today.
After receiving her undergraduate in
International Relations from Hebrew University, she went on to receive advanced degrees
in Business Management and Fundraising at Hebrew
University and Tel Aviv University.
After arriving at KKL in 1991, she
worked in the fundraising and public relations departments recruiting
supporters to JNF-KKL. Tali then helped found Friends of KKL Association and
recruited 40,000 families in just three years, forging a greater, stronger
connection between KKL and the people of Israel.
Tali came to the U.S. in 2005..
She has already put JNF in the hearts and minds of the community and is helping
build an even stronger presence and connection both to JNF and to Israel.
Tali's first-born daughter, Hadar, is
currently serving as a Training Lieutenant in the Israeli Air Force. Her second
daughter, Liron, will graduate high school this year and join the Israel
Defense Forces in 2011. The Tzours—Tali, her husband Danny, who is in marketing, and her daughter, Liron, 17 -- live in Tenafly, NJ but consider Israel their home.
