Jewish National Fund Announces New National Board Members
Las Vegas Resident Robert Dubin Joins Board

September 28, 2011 –Las Vegas, NV – Jewish National Fund (JNF) is proud to announce that Robert Dubin of Las Vegas has been elected to the position of Assistant Vice President of Planned Giving on the National Board of Directors.  In addition, Dubin has been chosen as a member of the prestigious JNF Makor program.  As a member of Makor, Dubin becomes one of a select few specially-trained, highly-involved Jewish National Fund volunteer speakers.

Robert Dubin has been a CPA for over forty years and has a general accounting and income tax practice in Las Vegas. He is the President of the Nevada Society of Enrolled Agents, Southern Chapter, and has served as the Vice-President and Treasurer. Bob is the President of the Las Vegas Board and served as the JNF Las Vegas Major Donors Campaign Chair. Previously, he was the co-chairman of the Las Vegas Jewish Federation’s Israel Independence Day program. A member of the Board of Directors and former Treasurer of Young Israel Aish, Dubin has always been involved in Jewish causes, charities, and synagogues. He speaks annually at the Jewish Friendship Club in Sun City and has served on the Board of Directors for American ORT.

“Jewish National Fund is a not-for-profit organization that puts great value on the relationship between its lay leaders and staff,” said Stanley Chesley, President of JNF. “JNF has an extensive board and committee system. Every member of the National Board of Directors has a specific portfolio – ranging from missions and zones, to campaign, marketing, and education – and works in concert with JNF’s professional staff. Together they set the agenda, the policy, make decisions and implement the vision.”

JNF’s National Board of Directors receives regular briefings on JNF’s Israeli projects and deliberates on all budgeting, fiscal and financial matters and major policy decisions. The board meets every month for a two-and-a-half hour session and has a 98% attendance record. Board membership involves an extensive nominations process and numerous personal interviews.

“JNF is fortunate and proud to have thousands of volunteers throughout the United States, all working as one family with one vision,” said JNF Chairman of the Board Ronald S. Lauder. “It is a true partnership with shared responsibility for our key role: working on behalf of the land and people of Israel. 2011 has been the greatest campaign year in JNF’s history; Robert will play a vital role in our process to fulfill JNF’s goals for the coming year.”

"It is a great honor for all of us in the Las Vegas Jewish Community to see our esteemed board president Bob Dubin elected to the JNF National Board," said JNF Las Vegas Community Director Judy Berkovitz. "We are proud to be represented on the national level by someone with such passion for the work of JNF and the people of Israel.”
