Temple Beth Sholom's Tu BiShvat Carnival

JNF, in partnership with Temple Beth Sholom, held a Tu BiShvat Carnival on Sunday January 23, 2011. The carnival helped raise money in support of JNF’s Operation Carmel Revewal: From Black to Green campaign. The goal of this campaign is to assist with the reforesting efforts of the Carmel Forest after the most destructive forest fire in Israel’s history.

The fun was contagious at Temple Beth Sholom on carnival day.  Many donations were given to help rebuild the Carmel Forest in Israel.   The halls were joyfully decorated with artwork depicting the forest going from black to green, created by the students of the Solomon Schechter Day School of Las Vegas.  Congresswoman Shelly Berkley joined the community in raising money on behalf of JNF. The uplifting spirit continued throughout the day with carnival games, food and face painting. The bounce house was a favorite among the kids.
