February 5, 2009 -- New York, NY -- You know how at the end of a girls’ night out everyone says good-bye and wishes they could do it again soon because it was so much fun and the night was too short? Well, now’s your chance.

Jewish National Fund (JNF) is pleased to announce the Queen of Sheba III Women’s Mission, May 11-20, 2009 -- a girls’ week out that is about tears, laughter, emotions, and everything else that goes into those amazing times you share with your friends.

The five-star, eight-day trip that excludes husbands, sons, and boyfriends, is an emotional and moving experience that centers on meeting Israeli women and through them delving into the different angles and aspects of Israeli life and society. The list includes female high school students, soldiers, pioneers, designers, chefs, businesswomen, bereaved mothers, and just ordinary women who daily make a difference for Israel and its future.

“It was a magical moving week with experiences that were so varied and rich they entered my soul and have stayed there ever since,” said Valerie Van-Leer Greenberg, a Queen of Sheba I and II participant.

Highlights include a panel discussion featuring including Bedouin, Jewish, and Arab women and more; meeting women forging new lives in the Negev; enjoying Shabbat dinner with an Israeli family; shopping, dining, belly dancing, and spa treatments; and spending time in Jerusalem, the Negev and northern Israel.

Anyone can join. Mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, best friends, or sign up by yourself. Just don’t miss out. And we promise, what happens in Israel stays in Israel!

JEWISH NATIONAL FUND (JNF) began in 1901 as a dream and vision to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere. Jews the world over collected coins in iconic JNF Blue Boxes, purchasing land and planting trees until ultimately, their dream of a Jewish homeland was a reality. JNF gives all generations of Jews a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land of Israel and its people.

JNF embodies both heart and action; our work is varied in scope but singular in benefit. We strive to bring an enhanced quality of life to all of Israel’s residents, and translate these advancements to the world beyond. JNF is greening the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel’s water supply, helping develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.

JNF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and United Nations NGO, which continuously earns top ratings from charity overseers.
