JNF Unveils New Line of Invitations

Contact: Roz Plaut • JNF Simcha Coordinator • 800-700-1312 • simcha@jnf.org

February 17, 2009 -- New York, NY -- Start inviting your guests to your family celebrations with the help of Jewish National Fund’s relaunched Simcha Program.

For years, families looking for a way to support Israel and add special meaning to their children’s Bar and Bat Mitzvah and wedding celebrations have turned to JNF’s Simcha Program, using personalized tree certificates as invitations.

Now, through a partnership with Encore Studios of Clifton, NJ, JNF is able to offer these families an upgraded invitation catalogue featuring dazzling designs with the twist of charity thrown into the mix.

When Bar/Bat Mitzvah or wedding invitations are ordered from the exclusive JNF catalogue a contribution is made to either plant a tree in Israel or to support water resource development in Israel. A small JNF logo and a line of text inform the invitee of the charitable contribution.

“Having a studio like Encore, one of the Tri-State area’s most innovative, as a partner, places us in a whole new light for our donors,” said JNF Product Manager, Amanda Levine. “With the new catalogue we can appeal to a broader base of people who want more customization for their invitations.”

The catalogue of more than 20 selections is available on JNF’s website (www.jnf.org/simcha).

When 100 or more invitations are ordered, JNF will plant a garden of trees in the honoree’s name and commemorate this by sending him/her a beautiful wood-framed, Garden Certificate.  In addition, the honorees’ name and date of the event will be inscribed in JNF’s Books of Honor in Jerusalem.

For more information, please contact Roz Plaut at 800-700-1312 or simcha@jnf.org.

JEWISH NATIONAL FUND (JNF) began in 1901 as a dream and vision to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere. Jews the world over collected coins in iconic JNF Blue Boxes, purchasing land and planting trees until ultimately, their dream of a Jewish homeland was a reality. JNF gives all generations of Jews a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land of Israel and its people.

JNF embodies both heart and action; our work is varied in scope but singular in benefit. We strive to bring an enhanced quality of life to all of Israel’s residents, and translate these advancements to the world beyond. JNF is greening the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel’s water supply, helping develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.

JNF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and United Nations NGO, which continuously earns top ratings from charity overseers.
