JNF's New Golden Book of Marriage Certificate Makes the Perfect Gift

Contact: Amanda Levine • JNF Products Manager • 516-678-6805 ext. 135 • alevine@jnf.org

May 2009 -- New York, NY -- Looking for that perfect, unique wedding or anniversary present? Brand new to the Jewish National Fund (JNF) growing list of certificates and just in time for the annual June rush, is the modern Golden Book of Marriage certificate -- a wonderful way to honor, celebrate or commemorate new nuptials or an anniversary.

Created by April Stuart Klausner, a life-long New Yorker and artist who donated her work to JNF, the certificate reads: “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine,” in both Hebrew and English. Through this $180 gift, your love for both the recipient and Israel are marked. Your feelings can be expressed in a personal message and an inscription in the Golden Book of Marriage in Jerusalem is also included.

For over 25 years, April has created original art for everything from books to websites, advertising to textiles, schools to theater. Her Judaic artwork -- whether commissioned to celebrate lifecycle events or for private collections -- is her true passion. Her artwork has been displayed on clothing, subways, websites, note cards, fruit cartons, invitations, hospital banners, family trees and promotional mailings.

As a supporter of JNF, April designed and donated this beautiful piece of work -- a great way to send warm wishes to a loved one and show your love and support for Israel.

Visit the JNF Store at www.jnf.org/store and go to Occasion Certificates to order an 11x14 Golden Book of Marriage (Modern) for $180.

JEWISH NATIONAL FUND (JNF) began in 1901 as a dream and vision to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere. Jews the world over collected coins in iconic JNF Blue Boxes, purchasing land and planting trees until ultimately, their dream of a Jewish homeland was a reality. JNF gives all generations of Jews a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land of Israel and its people.

JNF embodies both heart and action; our work is varied in scope but singular in benefit. We strive to bring an enhanced quality of life to all of Israel’s residents, and translate these advancements to the world beyond. JNF is greening the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel’s water supply, helping develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.

JNF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and United Nations NGO, which continuously earns top ratings from charity overseers.
