JNF Announces its Fourth Women-Only Mission to Israel

Forget Girls’ Night Out, Try Girls’ Week Out

Contact: Elisa Frankel • JNF National Director, Women’s Campaign • 212-879-9305 ext. 297 • efrankel@jnf.org

November 8, 2010 -- New York, NY -- With three wildly successful women-only missions under its belt, Jewish National Fund (JNF) is pleased to announce the Queen of Sheba IV Women’s Mission, February 27-March 6, 2011 -- a girls’ week out to experience Israel through laughter and tears.

The five-star, eight-day trip that excludes husbands, sons, and boyfriends, is an emotional and moving experience that centers on meeting Israeli women and through them delving into the different angles and aspects of Israeli life and society. The list includes soldiers, pioneers, musicians, designers, chefs, businesswomen, Holocaust survivors, and just ordinary women who daily make a difference for Israel and its future.

“The opportunity to see Israel through JNF with all women is an amazing and very unique experience. No other mission brings together women from all over the U.S. to meet and spend time with Israeli women in all capacities of life,” said Carol Ford, JNF Sapphire Society National Chair and Queen of Sheba Mission Chair.

Highlights include meeting women forging new lives in the Negev; enjoying Shabbat in Jerusalem; shopping, dining, cooking lessons, belly dancing, and spa treatments; and spending time in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Negev and northern Israel.

Anyone can join. Mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, best friends, or sign up by yourself. Just don’t miss out. And we promise, what happens in Israel stays in Israel!

JEWISH NATIONAL FUND (JNF) began in 1901 as a dream and vision to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere. Jews the world over collected coins in iconic JNF Blue Boxes, purchasing land and planting trees until ultimately, their dream of a Jewish homeland was a reality. JNF gives all generations of Jews a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land of Israel and its people.

JNF embodies both heart and action; our work is varied in scope but singular in benefit. We strive to bring an enhanced quality of life to all of Israel’s residents, and translate these advancements to the world beyond. JNF is greening the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel’s water supply, helping develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.

JNF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and United Nations NGO, which continuously earns top ratings from charity overseers.
