Robert Cohan

Bob Cohan is a dedicated and true member of the JNF family.

Bob is a successful litigator with the firm of Cohan Rasnick Myerson LLP in Boston. He is married to Dr. Phuli Cohan, the author of the “Natural Hormone Makeover “(Wiley). They have 6 children.

Just as important as his family and profession are to Bob, he is also a passionate supporter of Israel. Bob and Phuli traveled to Israel for the first time on JNF’s 60th Anniversary Mission with President Larry Cohen, National Campaign Director Sharon Freedman and Colonel (Res.) Sharon Davidovich.

In Bob’s own words: “This was a life changing experience. We must preserve this land because it is so important to so many religions.”

“We are very lucky to have such a dedicated President Emeritus in Bob. It was so special to travel with him and Phuli to Israel on their first trip. Their curiosity and excitement was evident throughout the country. Hanging out at JNF sites, the Dead Sea and on top of Massada together created a bond we will always have” shared Sharon Freedman.

Bob has been the Chair of JNF Corporate Breakfasts, since the inception of the program, and currently serves as Regional President.

As the founding partner of Cohan Rasnick Myerson LLP, Bob’s practice emphasizes complex business disputes, on a contingent fee basis. He is a former Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General, a past lecturer for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s Business Litigation Conference and the author of significant articles on the subject of business litigation. He has taught and lectured in the areas of business and consumer law.

In addition to Bob’s legal expertise, he is a talented musician (& our token rock star!). The Rising Storm, a popular 60’s garage band, was formed during Bob’s years at Andover Academy.

Bob and Phuli live in Newton with their children: Jessie, Alex, Emma, Tasha, Gregory and Sofia.
