Steven Aronson

Jewish National Fund is a family affair for Steve Aronson. Following in his parents’ footsteps, he is a second generation Board Member in New England. Steve and his wife Risa are dedicated President’s Society members and she is a proud member of the Sapphire Society, JNF’s major donor society for women.

Steve grew up in an extremely JNF oriented home. In 2011, his passion and love for the work JNF does for the land and people of Israel was solidified during the President’s Society mission, where he experienced JNF’s vision first-hand.

New England Zone President, Larry Cohen shared, “Steve is a huge asset to our board. To have a fellow lay leader be as dedicated and passionate about our work is a blessing. I look forward to many years of shared involvement.”

Family really does run through Steve’s blood not just philanthropically, but professionally as well. In 1990, Steve became President of Aronson Insurance, founded by his grandfather in 1919. Licensed in 12 states and a Certified Insurance Counselor, Steve is also an educator and industry technology expert. He serves in leadership positions on national committees including ACT, ACORD, AUGIE and NetVU and often lectures at insurance conferences around the country.

Steve and Risa are true philanthropists with huge hearts who devote much of their lives to helping the local community, where Steve has served as Treasurer of Temple Beth Avodah for many years and Risa a long-time committee chairperson. The Aronsons live in Newton. Their three adult children are spread across the country.
