Todd Patkin's ardor with Israel was planted by his grandfather, Maxwell Field. Todd recalls, "as my grandfather grew older, he felt Americans were turning their backs on Israel, and it disturbed him. So I began to look at Israel with new eyes."
In 2005, Todd and his wife, Yadira, became the first donors in New England to join the World Chairman's Council. Those funds supported the Gaza disengagement challenges and revitalization of Rothschild Boulevard, signifying the Patkin's passion for Israel and the Jewish people.
Todd is JNF New England's Vice President of Campaign and sits on JNF’s National Board. One of his many generous acts was to match funds, dollar for dollar, raised on 2007's Green Sunday. His wife, Yadira, is a member of Circle of Sapphire, JNF's major gifts division for women.
Today Todd spends most of his time writing books and speaking on happiness. He was named Readers Digest “Mr. Happy” in 2012.

On a more personal level, Todd prides himself on physical fitness, exemplified by his completion of the 2007 Boston Marathon. The outgoing message on Todd's voicemail often touts his love of health and family.
Todd and Yadira have one son, Joshua and two yorkies, Tucker and Hunter.
Other charities the couple is involved in include: Israel's Yemin Orde Youth Village, Rodman Ride for Kids, Gary Marino’s Million Calorie March, Youth Lead and the Boston Medical Center. He often acts as a conduit for Israel's philanthropic leaders when they travel to America seeking the right people to help aid their unique causes.
Todd's office proudly displays David Ben-Gurion's picture with his famous quote, "The State of Israel, to exist, must go south." Ben-Gurion's vision for the Negev and its future continues to motivate Todd.
