2016 JNF National Conference College Summit





Registration

Registration Fee: $100

This covers your attendance at the conference, local accommodations, most local transportation and most meals.

Registration is required to attend the National Conference. It is a two-step process. If you have not completed both steps, you are not registered.

Step 1: Register NOW for JNF’s National Conference and make sure to indicate “College Student” to get the special rate.

Step 2: Complete the College Summit Secondary Registration Form

*Please note, in order to allow for geographic diversity, JNF reserves the right to limit the number of students from any particular university. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Travel

Getting to the Conference

Check-In will begin at 10:00 am at the New York Hilton Midtown (1335 Avenue of the Americas, NY, NY 10019) and will last throughout the day. Since the opening plenary begins at 2:00 pm, we recommend arriving to register by that time.

After the opening plenary, you can check into the local youth hostels where you will stay Friday and Saturday nights.

Our program is slated to run until 5:30 pm on Sunday, September 18. When booking travel, please keep this timing in mind.

Please note that while the JNF National Conference goes until Monday, September 19, our College Summit only runs through Sunday at 5:30 pm. JNF is not responsible for your accommodations or food in NYC on Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Travel Subsidies

Coming from out of town? Take advantage of the below travel subsidies being offered by JNF!

Airline, bus and train tickets will be subsidized up to $250.
For example: If a ticket costs, $100, the entire ticket will be subsidized. However - if a ticket costs $300, you will be reimbursed $250 and responsible for covering the difference.

If you are driving 50 miles or more, subsidies of $0.525/mile will be granted up to $150. Only the driver will be able to collect a subsidy. You will be responsible for parking in the city.

*Please note that JNF will NOT cover first class, business class or upgraded airplane or train tickets- you should purchase economy or coach tickets if you want to be reimbursed. In addition, JNF will NOT cover baggage fees or local transportation to/from the train station or the airport.

To receive your travel subsidy, prior to the conference you must send an email to collegesummit@jnf.org and include the following information:

• Who you would like the check payable to.
• The address where you want the check sent
• Please attach the ticket receipt and make sure it clearly shows the price.

Reimbursements will be issued by mail after the conference.

Housing

JNF will be providing accommodations to college students at Jazz on Columbus Circle and at and Jazz in the Park youth hostels.

Roommate requests can be made when filling out the secondary-registration form. These requests will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed.

*Please note: Priority for youth hostels will be given to students traveling from out of the New York metro-area.

You are welcome to make your own arrangements to stay elsewhere. However, JNF will only be covering the cost of accommodations at Jazz on Columbus Circle and Jazz in the Park.

Meals

The following meals will be provided to during the weekend of the conference:

Friday – Shabbat dinner
Saturday – breakfast, lunch
Sunday – breakfast, lunch
Kosher dietary laws will be observed for all meals served at the conference.
