The AMHSI Summer Experience

You will be literally walking in the footsteps of history. Hiking where King Saul battled the Philistines, visiting the sites of early pioneers, following in the footsteps of Israel’s first Prime Minister - Ben Gurion, and visiting sites such as the lowest point on earth – the Dead Sea, Israel as the classroom provides our participants with an unparalleled program.

AMHSI participants are led by our expert educators who are passionate and devoted to guiding teens through this journey of a life time. In the process, participants are taught the history of Jewish civilization from time immemorial all the way through modern Israel seeing firsthand how Israel makes the world better through agricultural and technological innovations used around the world. AMHSI participants come away a deeper sense of self individually and collectively, the friends made on such a journey are friends that last a life time. This is the kind of feedback we get from all of our alumni, the Muss Magic never ends.

In addition to receiving high school credits and an official transcript, eligible students can also receive 6 transferable college credits from the University of Miami if interested. APPLY NOW

What's unique about AMHSI is its service to the Jewish People in its entirety. We are the only non-denominational, international academic program in Israel, accredited by the Middle States Association, providing a variety of sessions throughout the year. Our fusion of the formal and informal approaches to study provides our students with the kind of transformative learning environment that makes Israel - the landscape - the classroom. AMHSI’s exceptional educators and counselors facilitate the kind of program that enables our participants to explore and discover their place around the table of Jewish continuity.

Our Deans and staff ensure that each student's academic and extracurricular needs are provided from general studies, to language courses, community service and much more. Our two live-in collegiate style campuses in Hod HaSharon and Eshel HaNasi include state-of-the-art dormitories, classrooms, and outdoor space, as well as athletic facilities on campus. Services also include computer rooms, science labs, the awesome Rappaport Music Room, and the brand new AMHSI Ben-Dor Student Radio Broadcasting Station.

About the Sponsor

The Schwartz-Hammer High School in Israel Impact Fellowship was created by Sheila Schwartz, a Phoenix local with a heart of gold. She is a prominent leader in the Jewish Community and there isn’t an organization in Arizona that hasn’t been touched by her in some way. Schwartz wanted to make an impact on the Valley’s Jewish community by bringing Arizona youth to Israel to strengthen their Jewish identity while developing a deep-rooted connection to Jewish life, to the Jewish people, and to Israel. Together with her daughter, Lesley Hammer, and Jewish National Fund she is now able to make this dream a reality through the AMHSI Impact Fund/Fellowship.
