No! The minimum Plant Your Way donation is $36, but donors can give as much as they like. No matter the amount donated, half will go to JNF forestry projects in Israel, and the other half towards your trip to Israel.

What is my VIS Number?

Your VIS (Valued Israel Supporter) number is your PYW ID. You will receive this number in your PYW Starter Kit which should arrive to your home 2-4 weeks after you register for the program. Be sure to include you VIS number on all correspondence and offline donations you send to JNF.

All gifts donated online, through your PYW website, will automatically be updated on your thermometer. Checks, or "offline" gifts, will not be visible on your thermometer, however your PYW account will be updated in our JNF database. When you receive the checks you can add the amount to your website using the PYW "Participant Center." Then those friends and family members can be recognized online, and your thermometer will reflect your total gifts received.

Can I receive PYW donations by cash or check?

Of course! For your family and friends that do not want to make a donation with a credit card it is possible to make an "offline gift" by sending a check to you with one of the PYW offline donation forms that can be downloaded from your PYW website. The offline donation form is available for download from your personal PYW webpage and in the "Donation" section at All checks should be made out to Jewish National Fund, and include the following information on the memo line: PYW, Participant Name, and your VIS number.

How else can someone donate to my account?
