Jewish National Fund partners with AMIT as part of our Blueprint Negev campaign to improve the quality of life for all residents of the Negev. AMIT's schools in Be'er Sheva are making a difference every day for the city's youth.
Since 1925, AMIT has contributed to the building of the State of Israel by nurturing and educating its children to become productive, contributing members of society. AMIT’s more than 70 schools, youth villages, surrogate family residences, and other programs are located in 23 cities and communities throughout Israel, and provide a continuity of values-based, academic excellence from kindergarten through junior college.
AMIT is uniquely positioned and singularly qualified to offer the children of the Negev educational continuity, academic excellence and strong Jewish values. With schools throughout Beersheva, Sderot, Ashkelon and Yerucham, AMIT offers a variety of elementary schools that include Jewish and secular studies. AMIT’s outstanding educational experiences continue with both technical high schools and programs for those who achieve the highest academic standards, as well as yeshivot and ulpanot for youngsters interested in higher Jewish studies. In the coming years, as the population in the Negev continues to grow, AMIT intends to expand its existing schools, launch new educational programs to target the new immigrants and diverse population, and bring dynamic pedagogical programs to the Negev built around the needs of Israel in the 21st century.
