Plant Your Way to JCC Maccabi
Participating in the Plant Your Way Program through JNF is an excellent way for you to further subsidize the cost of participating in the 2014 JCC Maccabi Games and ArtsFest while helping to support the forestation of Israel. In the summer of 2014, the JCC Maccabi Games® and JCC Maccabi ArtsFest® will take place in Boca Raton, FL, Cherry Hill, NJ and Detroit, MI! We are very excited to offer you this fundraising opportunity in partnership with the JNF as a great way to offset the costs of your participation. The JNF Plant your way program is now available for all three of our JCC Maccabi Programs.
JCC Maccabi Games® kicked off in 1982 with a big mission. It was designed in order to: provide Jewish youth with a supportive environment that fosters mutual respect and sportsmanship, where they can interact in an atmosphere of fun, democracy, and peace; cultivate a deeper understanding and instill an appreciation of Jewish values within Jewish youth, enrich their Jewish identity in an informal setting, and encourage their identification with the state of Israel; promote and encourage the health, physical fitness and well-being of Jewish youth through participation in recreational and athletic activities; and introduce Jewish youth to the international Maccabi Movement, which presents athletic, cultural, and social opportunities with Jews from around the world.
JCC Maccabi ArtsFest® debuted in 2006 in Baltimore, Maryland. It is a weeklong arts experience for creative Jewish teens ages 13-17. It features home hospitality, includes opening and closing events, workshops, performances, exhibits, community service, and social activities, while it strengthens bonds to Jewish heritage, community and Israel.
JCC Maccabi Israel® is a project of two partners; JCC Association and Maccabi World Union. JCC Association is the continental umbrella organization for the Jewish Community Center Movement, which was started in 1854 and includes 350 JCCs, YM-YWHAs, and camp sites in the United States.
Building on the 100 years of experience and the success of programs across North America, with JCC Maccabi Israel, we know you will have an unforgettable journey.
Youth through age 26 can raise money for JCC Maccabi (and any trip to Israel!) by asking family and friends to contribute to their campaign. Half of the proceeds of each donation ($25 minimum) will go towards JNF's forestation projects in Israel and the other half goes into a participant account which can be redeemed towards their participation in JCC Maccabi. Funds may be redeemed when at least $180 is accrued towards the participant's trip. The online fundraising page is extremely easy and user friendly; participants can seamlessly send emails to solicit and thank donors as well as share their pages on social media platforms.
The account will be managed by Jewish National Fund. Participants will be notified of their progress via updates in their personal website and "Participant Center" online. Redemption of funds for JCC Maccabi programs will be handled through the JCC Maccabi delegation heads. Should participation be canceled at any time, the money from the account will be used for JNF projects in Israel.
Redemption will be made directly to the sponsoring organization or travel agent upon receipt of an original invoice stating the participant's name, the nature of the trip, and the amount owed. Please allow 3 weeks for the redemption request to be processed.
