Bio

Bud Levin (Los Angeles, CA) was CEO of the Midwest Petroleum Company for 30 years. Deeply involved in the world of Jewish fundraising from both the lay and professional perspective, Bud began his career as a lay leader in St. Louis 40 years ago. There he
served as Chairman of the St. Louis Jewish Federation campaign. He has held various positions with the UJA, including Lifetime National Vice Chairman. In 1992, he left private business to work as a head of UJA’s $100,000 Division, and then was Chief Development O cer for the Michael Steinhardt Foundation. In 1997, Bud and his wife Judy established the J&B Levin Fundraising consulting  rm. In 2002, they re-joined the lay leadership world as volunteers. In that year, Bud joined the volunteer ranks of JNF, when he retired from his fundraising consulting company. He is a past Vice President of Campaign, and a Negev Society and World Chairman’s Council member. Bud’s youngest son, Max, made Aliyah and joined the IDF and served in Operation Protective Edge, where he was wounded in the head by shrapnel. Max is now a student at Columbia University.
