Bio

Elliot Chodoff is a political and military analyst specializing in the Middle East and the global war on terror. He is a major in the Israel Defense Force reserves and spent nearly a decade leading a unit for the IDF in the Northern Region, for which he received the IDF Home Front Command Outstanding Officer Award in 2006. He was on active duty during the Second Lebanon War, served during the summer 2005 Gaza Disengagement, and has more than 35 years of experience explaining conflict in the Middle East, military tactics, and Zionist history to audiences in Israel and abroad. He is founder and senior editor of MidEast: On Target, an e-journal and newsletter on Middle East affairs, and has been featured in publications from The Washington Times to The National Interest. Mr. Chodoff moved to Israel in 1983 and is a founding member of Eshchar, a community village in the Galilee, where he resides.
