Alternative Spring Break is an incredible opportunity to volunteer in Israel and do something you would not do on an ordinary trip. Join JNF and other young adults for a week of community service in the Negev and connect to the land and people of Israel in a meaningful way.
How It Works
Participants are responsible for raising a minimum of $975, using an easy online program to communicate by email with family and friends. Money raised will go towards JNF’s Blueprint Negev campaign to sustainably develop the Negev Desert and make it home to Israel's next generation of pioneers. Once the fundraising minimum is met, the program is FREE, paid for by generous JNF donors. Round-trip domestic airfare is not included. This trip is open to any Jewish young adult between the ages of 18 – 30.

NEW An anonymous Chicago-based foundation is generously providing a challenge grant for Alternative Break to cover the costs of our ASB work projects in Israel. The donor will match dollar for dollar any gift of $180 up to $1,800. Although this will not affect the amount of money needed to be raised by the participant for JNF’s Blueprint Negev Campaign, it is a tremendous help to JNF and Israel to fund the materials and tools needed to complete the ASB work projects.
Alternative Spring Break is a recipient of a grant from the Repair the World Foundation.
