ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Caravan for Democracy (CFD) fosters constructive dialogue about Israel and the Middle East on U.S. college campuses by offering non-Jewish student leaders a firsthand experience of Israel. Participants explore its history, democracy, and contributions to the world through diverse speakers, immersive tours, and respectful peer discussions. The program encourages questions and challenges, equipping students to return as confident advocates for informed, thoughtful dialogue. Post-October 7th, CFD is more vital than ever in shaping global-minded student leaders.

CFD is a 8-day fully subsidized trip for non-Jewish student leaders who have never been to Israel before. Since 2012, the program has provided over 700 students from 120+ academic institutions from across the USA with the opportunity to explore the Jewish and democratic country of Israel through firsthand travel experience and opportunities to meet with political, cultural, media, and community leaders from diverse backgrounds and faiths. See a sample of our trip itinerary here.

If you would like to nominate a student for Caravan for Democracy, click here.

REQUIREMENTS

CFD Fellows must commit to pre and post-trip leadership seminars (online), participate in the entirety of the 8-day trip, operationalize their experience by creating a panel, article, speaking engagement, or event on their campuses upon their return, and nominate other future participants. CFD Fellows are encouraged to continue their engagement with JNF-USA by speaking at events and participating in our Global Conference.
