After years of success cultivating Southern Israel with Blueprint Negev, Jewish National Fund (JNF) is setting its sights on developing the North with its Go North initiative.
ACROSS THE GALILEE
Northern Israel, known as the Galilee, has long been known for its great potential. The majority of Israel’s natural water resources and abundant forests are in the Galilee, and its gorgeous scenery, climate, history, and culture attract many domestic and foreign tourists. Despite the region’s great potential and plethora of natural assets, it continues to experience acute social and economic problems. Unlike the Negev, with Be’er Sheva, the Galilee does not have one city as its hub. To meet these challenges, JNF, together with the government of Israel, local municipalities, youth organizations, and community leaders that include KKL, Nefesh B’Nefesh, the OR Movement, Reut Institute, and the Rashi Foundation, has launched the Go North strategic investment initiative.

Erez College Natural Gas Vocational Training Center in Shlomi is dedicated to practical engineering and natural gas training, providing the unemployed and underemployed in the North with vocational training and the tools to build careers.
JNF Western Galilee Visitor Center
JNF Western Galilee Visitor Center in the city of Akko will inspire visitors to partake in the wide variety of tourist opportunities in and around the Western Galilee and encourage them to stay for longer as there is so much to do, see, taste, and enjoy. Located at Salah-a-Din St.
Community Youth Center
Community Youth Center in the city of Beit She’an, a beautiful new venue, will provide activities to build connections to keep young adults in the area, bring back those who have left, and attract newcomers, to create a dynamic community for generations to come.

JNF-Nefesh B’ Nefesh Business Network Forum brings together small and medium sized businesses on a regular basis for networking and educational opportunities, to help build clout as an effective regional business group.
Western Galilee Now
Western Galilee Now (WGN) is a consortium of small tourism operators and artisanal businesses that promotes awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food, and produce, along with its cultural diversity, historic traditions, and scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.
