Bio

As Jewish National Fund’s Halutza Liaison for Negev Community Development, Yedidya Harush is working with JNF to develop an untouched region in Israel’s south into a thriving community. Mr. Harush returned to Israel after finishing high school in the United States and assumed a key leadership role in the Israeli Defense Forces, helping evacuees of Gush Katif in Gaza to lead a normal life while their families and homes were in distress. During Operation Protective Edge in 2014, when repeated rocket attacks struck southern Israel, Mr. Harush worked tirelessly with his reserve elite IDF unit and Halutza’s residents to secure the border and protect the country.
