Bio
Aharon Ariel Lavi is one of Israel’s most prominent social entrepreneurs and community development professionals. As founder of the Garin Shuva—an eco-mission-driven community near the Gaza border— and the co- founder of the National Council of Intentional Communities, MAKOM, a Jewish National Fund partner, Mr. Lavi has contributed to the development of numerous networks that strengthen Jewish community life in Israel and in the Diaspora. In addition to his community development work, Mr. Lavi also founded a JCC in the Negev and is a published author who has written extensively about Judaism, economics, social justice, and environmentalism.
