Bio

Joel Peters is a professor of government and international affairs at Virginia Tech, the founding Director of the Center for the Study of European Politics and Society at Ben Gurion University in Israel, and is a Senior Research Fellow and Academic Advisor to the Center. He is the author of several books on Israeli foreign policy, including Uneasy Neighbors: Israel and the European Union and Israel and Africa: The Problematic Friendship. Mr. Peters has also been an active participant in various informal meetings between Israelis and Palestinians on issues including Jerusalem, refugees, economic development, and regional security.
