Bio
As Professor for Israel and Hebrew Studies at the Military Academy in Monterey, California, Capt. Avner Even-Zohar shares with students his great passion for Israel’s democracy, diversity, and commitment to human rights. He has shared this message across college campuses and in communities nationwide on several national speaking tours for Jewish National Fund, opening eyes to the importance of leadership, activism, and human rights in the Middle East. He is the recipient of Teacher of the Year Award as well as the author of 18 books on leadership, emotional intelligence, and happiness. Prof. Even-Zohar is a decorated IDF officer and the recipient of the Achievement Medal For Civilian Service of the US Dept. of Defense for educating hundreds of US Army, Air Force, Navy & Marine Corps service members on the Holocaust.
