Need to “spruce” up your gift-giving or recognize a loved one? For the first time, tree certificates can now be purchased and sent with the click of a button, perfect for when you need to recognize someone instantly.

NEW YORK, January 25, 2024 — Jewish National Fund-USA is sprouting something new: Tree e-certificates! For over a century, the organization’s tree certificates have enabled Zionists everywhere to celebrate their commitment to the land and people of Israel through planting trees. Through its e-certificates, everyone can now instantly purchase and send their tree certificate at jnf.org/store.

Supporters can choose from many beautiful designs that can be personalized to honor or memorialize any occasion, individual, or family. Jewish National Fund-USA’s EZ-Tree program, which offers significant bulk discounts for supporters who buy at least 10 trees at a time for future use, can also be used for e-Certificates.

The e-certificate adds to a whole “forest” of options Jewish National Fund-USA offers to honor, recognize, commemorate, or memorialize significant events or people. Additional products include the well-known (physical) tree certificates that are sent in the mail, unique Golden Certificates that evoke the spirit of Israel’s early pioneers, Be Inscribed Certificates where anyone can purchase a letter, verse, or entire section written in a Torah by a scribe on top of Masada, and opportunities to inscribed a loved one’s name on the Wall of Eternal Life located in Be’er Sheva, Israel.

Following the tragic events of October 7, and as the Jewish world celebrates Tu BiShvat – the original Earth Day – the organization is calling on supporters to plant a tree in honor of an Israel Defense Forces soldier. Purchasers can type “IDF Soldier” on their certificate, and a physical certificate will be delivered to an IDF soldier.
